** Now available in print or electronic publication from Outskirts Press™ (click here) **

Covers more than 60 years of interviews with Alex Haley, Tom Clancy, Bob Hope, Tim Conway, Presidents Reagan, Carter and others.

Former AP and Pacific Stars & Stripes Correspondent Jack Behrens got to see celebrities up close and personal. He spent more than 60 years working for various press association, magazines, radio and TV outlets (PBS, CBS, NBC) talking with them about their careers and lives on and off the public stage.

The book contains articles on people like 'Roots' author Alex Haley, novelist Tom Clancy, comedians Bob Hope and Tim Conway, artist-designer Walt Disney, Presidents Reagan, Carter, Clinton and Johnson.

He also found the interesting sides of bandleaders Woody Herman, Duke Ellington, Chip Davis and the Mannheim Steamrollers. And he spent time with the legendary rock group the Doobie Brothers.

"All in a day's work. I loved these people, how they lived and enjoyed their pursuits," Behrens said.

His new book with some of his own photos, has been published as of March 19, 2018 by Outskirts Press™ and is available in paperback or electronic versions!

It's an inspiring read for those who suffer from Parkinson's. A life story that was jarred by the loss of his hands to write, type and walk to the disease. It's a book that celebrates hope, the value of faith and the meaning of family and friends.
