Author Jack Behrens' New Book 'Reflections of a Journalist'

Covers More Than 60 Years Of Interviews With Alex Haley, Tom Clancy, Bob Hope, Tim Conway Presidents Reagan, Carter and others.

Former AP and Pacific Stars & Stripes Correspondent Jack Behrens got to see celebrities up close and personal. He spent more than 60 years working for various press association, magazines, radio and TV outlets such as PBS , CBS, NBC talking with them about their careers and lives on and off the public stage.

The people included Roots' author Alex Haley, novelist Tom Clancy, comedians Bob Hope and Tim Conway, artist-designer-Walt Disney, Presidents Reagan, Carter, Clinton and Johnson.

He also found the interesting sides of bandleaders Woody Herman, Duke Ellington, Chip Davis and the Mannheim Steamrollers. And he spent time with the legendary rock group Doobie Brothers.

"All in a day's work. I loved the people and how they lived and enjoyed their pursuits," Behrens said.

His new book with some of his own photos, will be published by AuthorHouse and available online and in many book stores soon!

It's a life story that was jarred by the loss of his hands to write, type and walk late in life. It's a book that celebrates hope, the value of faith and the meaning of family and friends. It's an inspiring story for those who suffer from Parkinson's.
